Let's try this again

A couple of nights ago, I started a blog at wordpress.com (or .org? I kept getting them confused), but seeing as:

a. I didn't like wordpress
b. our blog title was too long

I decided to just completely switch it up.

I just can't get enough of moving lately (lies), so I decided to move to this blog.

I like blogger. I'm familiar with blogger. I appreciate the easiness of all things Google. Wordpress was like creme brulee, and Google is like jello, and I like jello. (Thank you, Julia Roberts)

So here we are.

Also, Dave kindly told me that he thought the blog name was too long and weird. I was like, come on! That's mean! I LIKE IT! And then I realized that he was right, and so I moved my hopes and dreams to this new blog. One of the greatest - and most annoying - things about Dave is his ability to pinpoint issues in my life and gently raise them to my attention. The way that I initially respond is generally infantile and whiny, but then the more I think about it, the more I realize that he has a valid point, and I'm convicted to actually hear what he's saying and attempt to improve myself. So, this is a small, mostly insignificant example of that, but an example nevertheless.

I ended up changing the name to "Life at the 201" because... (drumroll, please)... we live at apartment 201. The lack of creative juices in my life right now is depressing.

So, I've managed to make the name shorter, but no more creative. Oh well.

Anyway, the intent of this blog is just to document our first year (and beyond!) together as newlyweds. Our first few posts will be about our honeymoon to Barcelona, which was amazing, fun, and solidified why our children will someday know like, 8 languages.
